Black Boy Awesome (BBA) started as a response to the suppression of hip hop in Portland, Oregon where hip hop shows are regularly shut down by the police.
Today, BBA is more than a reaction, it is a record label. Now based in Oakland, California, BBA releases the music of Kenneth Masters, collaborating musicians and artists, and releases great works of hip hop on limited edition vinyl.
